SB slings on Entertainment Tonight

Sakura Bloom baby slings were on ET last week! They showed celebrities who use the essential collection double-layer Belgian silk slings.

For the rest of us, Tender Cargo just added a new line of Sakura Bloom linen slings. They are the Hana and Pure collections, priced $80-$120. We have solid pink, blue, green, and black, and also there is solid brown with pink or blue silk accents. They are very soft and supportive and easy to adjust, so they make a wonderful first sling or gift to somebody who already uses other fabrics from another brand.

The Beco Butterfly Carrier situation has developed into a federally regulated CPSC recall. All Beco Butterfly carriers bought from Jan 1 to March 6 2008 are affected. If you own one, please read carefully. Feel free to forward this message or post it publicly.

Here is the official press release for Butterfly Recall. If you own an affected carrier stop using it, print this form, and send your Butterfly in for retrofitting.

This link explains the new buckle.
This is the link to the recall page in our store. It is much like this blog post.

We are doing our very best to help our customers and we are so very sorry for the hassle! We value our relationship as your retailer and we are here to answer all questions and help facilitate your process with the manufacturer.

Pikkolo Carrier user photos

Photos of a mom and a dad with 18 month old toddler in a back carry. Next time we do this, we’ll show the hip carry and front positions too. All photos are with the Appletini green carrier with black straps. The mom is not wearing the optional chest strap, but the dad chose to. For her, the memory foam kept the straps in position just fine, and she didn’t want the extra step of a chest strap. But the dad tried it both ways and found he preferred using it. It probably depends some on your body type.

Both are wearing it too “low” in the outdoor shots- at the top of their hips instead of at the natural waist as suggested.

more, with better positioning, higher up so baby can see. The straps are worn backpack style, but for a front carry you would cross them, making an X on your back.
