If you’ve seen the store’s “about us” page, you know we’re “a family owned and operated business in Berkeley, California”
It seems that if you’ve found your way to a blog page called “Tender Cargo’s People” you might be interested to hear more.
So, the “family” is a couple married for 6 years with 3 kids so little their only jobs are applying priority mail stickers, rearranging the products on the shelves, and carrying small packages to the post office counter.
The “owned and operated” means it’s really registered and run by just us. We ship twice a day, we handle your customer service calls and process your returns, we order new inventory and analyze site traffic and sales patterns, we handle the accounting and plan for business growth and new product lines to carry and someday produce.
“In Berkeley” means what it sounds like. Our stockroom is in the peaceful hills above the vibrant urban activity. We are members of many local groups including a church, La Leche League and the Bay Area Babywearers.
