We are getting many questions about the Beco Butterfly availability. Here is the latest information:
The original Beco Butterfly is retired and was replaced with version “Butterfly 2” with some noteworthy design changes! The Butterfly 2.0 blog thread on colors and stocking is here. We have 20 colors in stock in addition to exclusive custom-made Butterfly 2.0 in Avery, Abby, Mia, Olivia and Emma. We have the new 3 hot Duo designs - all organic and mostly solid dad-friends colors! Some fall collection colors are on sale now at $119.
These ship free the same day or next day after you order them.
There is a new map on our policies page for delivery speed with Fedex ground. You may find you live close enough to get overnight or 2nd day service at the Ground price.
Everybody is curious about how the fabric prints look close up and in the sunlight. Our homemade close-up outdoor shots of Isabella and Olivia are here. Extra images of Abby Sara and Natalie are here. We also took photos of Aubrey, Ethan, and Emma - especially useful because you can clearly see the words in the popular Emma print.

We always have shipped the Beco worldwide but their rules are presently changing, I will have to check with them about shipping to Germany.
The shipping charge is the actual price of postage based on your location and the item’s weight. You can see the choices during checkout.

The Butterflys which you sent back for the new buckles: will they have the “stay put strap” for a hip seat (like the 4th generation had) as well or only the new produced Butterflys?

Can I also be added to the list? Also, how sure are you about the date of the new patterns and when do you expect to have more info on them? Is April 26 definate or could it wind up being a few weeks later. I ask because there is nothing I “love” now and am looking forward to something new but don’t want to wait too long to get my hands on a butterfly.

Addison is unlikely to come back in stock.
Returns- yes, within 30 days and only if the carrier is kept in new condition. We can’t take a return if it is dirty or missing the packaging.
Sweden- we do ship internationally but there are retailers or distributors in your area so please go to them first.

As a mom of 2 boys and a girl, my personal take on carriers has always been that the baby doesn’t care, and I am the one wearing it, so it is more my accessory than the baby’s. So, I think more about finding my style and matching my usual clothes than whether or not it “matches” the baby. Besides, a carrier will outlast this baby’s need of it and will often get passed on to a relative or neighbor or used for your next child, and there is no telling what gender that will be ;)
On the other hand, if the father will carry the child provided you buy one that suits his style, by all means make sure the print agrees with him! Some people even each pick their own.

In general the new colors are public about the 15th and available about the 25th. July will have only one new color, and also we are getting a couple of the Emmas back this week.

I think it’s Sept 1, right when the free shipping deal ends, and there shouldn’t be the usual delay between showing the colors and being able to accept and ship orders.
I can say our store specially arranged to get back some colors that went out of production many months ago- Emma, Ava, and Mia ! This is in addition to whatever new color(s?) we will carry along with other retailers.
