This is a bit of a placeholder post, because all I can say is the hot new Bumgenius diaper products – Flip diapers and Econobum -  just arrived to our stockroom and will be posted at Tender Cargo tomorrow. Images, descriptions, prices, etc will be shown at that point. There has been such a buzz about these already! Most likely the link will be right in the Bumgenius cloth diaper section. These are not replacing the BumGenius 3.0 or organic one size diapers we carry. Those products are still being made and sold as much as ever. The Flip and Econobum are just some exciting other options to consider by the same maker.

We’ve had a few new colors of Babyhawk in the store that I just finally put online today.  Check out the Babyhawk area, you’ll be able to tell the new ones because they have swatch photos posted instead of our homemade photos of the carrier on a manequin like all the other Babyhawks show. Sorry, that’s just been pushed down the to-do list so long, I thought it was best to at least make them available for order even if the photos weren’t done yet.  If that’s a big deal, just say so and I’ll try to get to it sooner!

The all-Camoflauge one has been really popular, – now I’m just curious how the zebra print does. Do you like it?

Whew! This is one of those log posts I put off writing just because I can’t tell where to begin! The annual show of all the new childrens’ products just ended and I flex back home with a bag bursting with catalogs and order forms, there is no telling when I’ll finally sort through all that material and in the meantime all the orders we placed for hot new products are going to start shipping over. yikes!

It is easy to point out two new colors for the Butterfly 2. They’re coming next week. Also 2 new colors for Pikkolo carriers and one for Scootababy. I’m so pleased with about a dozen new color choices from Aden + Anais muslin swaddling blankets and they have the most amazing muslin sleepsack coming soon.

Today we have 6 new babyhawk colors in stock and 4 bestselling babyhawks are now here in the toddlerhawk version as well!  Every babyhawk and toddlerhawk in store is reversible to a solid color.

Babyhawk carriers are a long-established brand in comfortable infant and toddler slings. They’re actually a Mei Tai, meaning that they tie on to you with two easy straps, not buckles or snaps or rings.  Once you try once or twice, it is so fast and easy to tie the waist straps and then the shoulder straps and you’re done – and it is perfect for sharing the carrier with another adult of a different size, since there are no settings or buckles to change between you.  The babyhawk includes a folding headrest for infant head support and is also useful for older babies or toddlers who nap in the carrier. New in the store – three BumGenius brand diapering accessories.

These are practically necessities no matter what type of cloth diapers you’re thinking of using. We just love these super-silky bamboo baby wipes, diaper pail liner, and a wet bag.

BumGenius makes other bestselling accessories that are already in our store, like the bottom cleaner spray to go with your wipes, the high pressure sprayer to clean diapers before they go in the laundry, and an odor removing spray you can use on diapers or around the house.

We took these photos as soon as the new Butterfly Duo arrived. This is the organic Beco with solid colors and owl design.

I was especially impressed by the soft feel of the fabric and the charcoal gray strap color rather than the usual black or brown. This is definitely the one I’d buy :)

These photos show the sleeping hood up in one photo and taken off for the other. The snaps are easy and more functional than the clips on older versions.

Just in – Five limited Beco Butterfly colors custom made for our store and three hot new organics – and in all cases we kept the prices down so these don’t even cost more than the regular carriers!

Here are two of the organic Duo Becos – I’m loving the dad-friendly colors and simple owl design.  There is an orange one in the store as well, but here it’s the sand/brown and sky blue / charcoal gray combos.

Check out the store Pikkolo page, we have 8 hot new colors in stock! 6 cool prints plus two nice new solids.  Sand is pictured here, the khaki tan with brown piping, where the toddler is showing off some sleeping hood action. There is also a dark brown solid, Cafe au Lait.

Compared to last year’s Pikkolos, these have a softer brushed canvas, which is especially apreciated on the head covering, which you see here has nice gathered edges and attached to slips on the shoulder straps. It is very useful for cuddling a child’s head if they fall asleep on the go, and also for sheilding them from exposure to sun, wind, or light rain. Of course, it is totally detachable, so if you don’t want to use it, you can just leave it home.

The new Pikkolo prints are Cloud, Jewel, Mocca Rouge, Pardise, Orbit. And then the solids, Sand and Cafe au Lait.  Also in stock are some of the summer colors, Flame, Jet, stone, and solid black, and these do have the new softer brushed canvas.  The Spa print is sold out but we’re leaving it visible because it has some detailed customer reviews and we don’t want those to disappear!
