Here are some homemade photos of the new Beco Butterfly prints. People have been especially curious about the words on Emma, which wouldn’t be read on the official Beco Butterfly images. But we have them now, so click to enlarge!
Admittedly, Ethan has been here before, but we didn’t take extra photos at the time and it is an extremely attractive yellow and brown in person, I just had to show it off!

Photos of a mom and a dad with 18 month old toddler in a back carry. Next time we do this, we’ll show the hip carry and front positions too. All photos are with the Appletini green carrier with black straps. The mom is not wearing the optional chest strap, but the dad chose to. For her, the memory foam kept the straps in position just fine, and she didn’t want the extra step of a chest strap. But the dad tried it both ways and found he preferred using it. It probably depends some on your body type.
Both are wearing it too “low” in the outdoor shots- at the top of their hips instead of at the natural waist as suggested.

more, with better positioning, higher up so baby can see. The straps are worn backpack style, but for a front carry you would cross them, making an X on your back.

Here’s a shot of me and my girl. I don’t carry her on my back much because she is almost 3. When we go out she usually walks while I carry baby brother, but this photo shows us at home.
It was December, I needed to ship packages, she wanted to cuddle.
The carrier is a Beco 4th generation in Metropolis.

I’m glad to announce we’re all stocked-up again on Pikkolo baby carriers!
There is one new color too, a solid khaki. I love when products come in basic colors like that, because some customers really appreciate something a dad will want to wear on a regular basis. Pikkolo already comes in all black, but the khaki matches some people’s clothes or taste better. I’m glad we have both now.
Also, CatBird Baby posted some Pikkolo wearing tips on their blog today.

This homemade photo gives a good view of the body panel of a 4th gen Beco in cocoa butterfly print. This fabric is another nice gender-neutral choice because it is made in shades of blue, brown and khaki but the design has a touch of femininity, so it can go both ways.

Baby is 15 months old and 24 pounds, wearing a size Medium (15-30 pounds) Super Whisper Wrap in Froggy pond print.
This particular diaper cover is actually a hand-me-down so you can really see how well the colors, velcro, and leg elastic have held up. We’re not kidding about offering products built to last!

Today I made a page with photos of the Beco Butterfly Parts . I think they will be very helpful to people considering a switch from their 4th generation Beco to the new Butterfly design. The differences can be hard to tell from the outside but if you look from inside, you can really see it…
